Is your truck or SUV slow to start, clicking, or not starting at all? A worn starter is one of the most common causes of these problems. This new 12V 1.5 kW starter motor turns the engine over every time you turn the key, and replacing a failing unit restores smooth, dependable starting.
This starter fits the 5.7L V8 engine in the 2011-2016 Toyota Tundra and Sequoia, as well as the 2011 and 2013-2016 Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX570. Please check your engine size and model year before ordering to make sure it matches your vehicle.
It is a Denso-style unit with a PLGR (planetary gear reduction) design, clockwise rotation, a 9-tooth drive gear and a 2-hole flange mount. The gear reduction design delivers strong cranking power from a compact body. It replaces Denso 428000-9091 and OEM Toyota and Lexus part numbers 28100-0S050 and 28100-38080.
To confirm the right fit, compare the part number on your old starter with the numbers listed above, and check that the mounting flange and drive gear match. Starters are also best replaced together with a battery and cable check, since weak power supply can damage a new unit. Find this starter at Denparts, your Canadian source for car and truck starters.
